Abstract

The work is devoted to the investigation of the newly diagnosed morbidity among participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident over a period of time spanning 1991-1996. The analysis of morbidity by main classes of diseases in liquidators from different regions of Russia in comparison with the similar incidence of unirradiated population of Russia was carried out. Tendencies of somatic morbidity of the liquidators were determined 10 years after the Chernobyl accident.

Keywords
Liquidators, Chernobyl accident, morbidity, disease classes, unirradiated population, somatic morbidity, analysis of morbidity.
