Primary epidemiological analysis of data from the Joint Thyroid Cancer Register of Russia and Belarus

Abstract

The article presents information on the absolute number of newly diagnosed cases of thyroid cancer in 10 regions of Russia and Belarus, shows the total number of cases in the same period in terms of age at diagnosis, the incidence of thyroid cancer by sex, and the ratio the number of cases detected among women, to one detected among men. The dynamics of the intensive incidence rate (by 1 million people) of thyroid cancer in the regions of the Belarus Republic and in the 4th most contaminated by radionuclides regions of Russia.
