Abstract

Assessment of present-day (2000-2012) radioecological impact of the Krasnoyarsk Mining and Chemical Industrial Complex (KMCIC) on objects of river biota near the Bolshoi Balchug village is adduced in present article. The results of statistical analysis of the content of main radionuclides in water of the Yenisey river during the follow up period and comparative estimates of radiation doses to referent types of water biota before (2000–2010) and after (2011–2012) decommissioning the last reactor at the KMCIC are discussed in this work. The results of comparative analysis of the dose estimates and recommended exposure limits are presented in the article.

Key words
River biota, radioecological impact, radiation dose, the Krasnoyarsk Mining and Chemical Industrial Complex, exposure limit.
