Abstract

To manage ecological safety in the Krasnoyarsk krai authors made prognosis evaluation of health risk for the population, using data of radiation, chemical and environmental hazards monitoring. For the evaluation the internationally accepted methodology, adjusted to the Russian territory and recommended by Rospotrebnadzor was used. We estimated risks from atmospheric classic and carcinogenic chemical pollutants, and carcinogenic contaminants in drinking water and soil for urban population and radiation risks for the people residing in the Mining Chemical Combine surveillance area. Results of risks analysis demonstrate that the main technogenic risk factors are atmospheric "classic" pollutants. Radiation risks are two-five orders lower than the risks from chemical hazards present in the environment.

Key words
Environmental safety, Krasnoyarskiy Krai, risk analysis methodology, radiation risk, chemical risk.
