Abstract

The response of barley seeds of Nur variety to gama-irradiation at doses of 2-50 Gy estimated by germination energy, germination, sprout length, the main root length and the number of roots was investigated. Stimulation of plant growth in early stages of ontogeny was observed in the dose range of 10-20 Gy and at dose rate of 55 Gy/h. The effect of dose rate and period of retention of irradiated seeds on manifestation of stimulation was investigated.
