Abstract

Analysis of relationship between disorders of nervous system in workers of radiochemical facility and dose and duration of exposure of radiation as compared to two control groups allowed one to specify three main neurologic syndromes of chronic radiation sickness: 1) disorders of neuro-visceral regulation; 2) asthenic; 3) organic damage to central nervous system as disseminated encephalomielitis. The main type of changes and general regularities of the development of disorders of nervous system are similar regardless the type of ionizing radiation. However, distinction in value of dozes, their allocation in time, character of deposition and leadingout creates a known originality in a clinical picture of disease.
