Abstract

In order to accelerate elimination of Pu-239 from human organism, to determine optimal doses and rhythm of injection the intravenous injection of pentacyn as well as of tetoxacyn in various doses (1.0; 0.5 and 0.25 g 10% and 5% solution) was made to the group of workers involved into plutonium production every day, every other day and in two days. It was established that application of pentacyn in the dose of 0.25 g as 5% solution every other day is the most advisable. Tetoxacyn therapy is significantly less effective. Elimination of more than 0.1 mkg Pu with urine during pentacyn therapy (10-12 injections) was demonstrated to be indicative of the isotope present in human organism at the rate exceeding maximum permissible one.
