Abstract

Assessment is made of availability of working and non-working facilities and various services to the population of the contaminated areas of Kaluga region. The study has been conducted at the levels of rayons, village Soviets and settlements. Demands for housing, socio-cultural and industrial facilities have been determined. Based on the analysis of economic and radiological status of the contaminated areas of the Kaluga region, norms are proposed for allocation of resources for minimizing the consequences of the Chernobyl accident. The technique of calculating these norms is also presented.
